I had a mixed experience at Antico Panada. On one hand, the location was fantastic, just a two-minute walk from San Marco Square, which made exploring Venice easy. However, the initial room assigned to me was noisy and uncomfortable, and the breakfast options were quite limited with a lingering unpleasant odor. Overall, I appreciated the cleanliness and the charm of the hotel, but some aspects left much to be desired. 🏨🥐

Rooms
5.0
My first room was below standard, noisy, and dimly lit but was moved to a more spacious and cleaner room afterward.
Service
5.0
Service was a mixed bag; while some staff were helpful, I encountered a rude receptionist who didn't create a welcoming atmosphere.
Location
5.0
The location was excellent, just minutes from major attractions, making it very convenient for sightseeing.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was basic and could be improved; although there were croissants and jam, the coffee was bitter and some mornings, a bad smell was present in the dining area.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were decent; while I found the rooms clean, the lack of functional amenities, such as air conditioning, was disappointing.

My stay at Antico Panada was an interesting mix of charm and challenges. The hotel's location near San Marco Square was excellent, allowing easy access to Venice's sights. However, I found the beds uncomfortable, and my requests for better pillows were met with indifference. While the character of the place is appealing, I encountered issues with the reception staff that left a sour taste.

Rooms
6.0
My room was clean but quite small and had an odd layout that required navigating stairs. The mattress was uncomfortably hard, leading to poor sleep quality.
Service
5.0
I received a mix of polite service and some frustrating interactions. The reception staff seemed dismissive, which impacted my overall experience.
Location
9.0
The location is a standout feature, just a stone's throw from San Marco Square, making it super easy to explore the city on foot.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast offered was basic and lacked variety, which didn't quite meet my expectations for a hotel stay. However, it was a nice way to start the day.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were somewhat lacking and appeared outdated, but everything was clean and functional, which I appreciated.

5.2/10

I enjoyed my stay at Antico Panada, thanks to its fantastic location just two minutes from St. Mark's Square. The rooms were clean and offered a decent setup, albeit a bit small. However, the check-in process was pretty chaotic, and the breakfast could use some improvement. Overall, I had a nice time exploring Venice, but there were some service hiccups that could be addressed.

Rooms
7.0
My room was on the smaller side but well-kept, featuring a double bed, a wardrobe, a fridge, and a clean bathroom. The decor was charmingly old-fashioned, which I appreciated. However, I did find it right next to the noisy lifts, which was a bit of a nuisance.
Service
5.0
The staff seemed quite busy and sometimes a bit overwhelmed, especially at check-in. While I did get the impression they meant well, some interactions felt rushed. I had to remind them about accessing my safety deposit box, which was frustrating.
Location

You really can't beat the spot—it's so close to St. Mark's Square! I loved being able to wander around the beautiful alleyways of Venice right from the hotel. It's also easy to catch the vaporetto and other transport from there, making it super convenient.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was pretty basic, with some cold meats, cheese, and croissants. It filled me up for the morning but could definitely use more variety—for a place with such charm, I expected a bit more in that department.
Facilities
6.0
Overall, facilities were decent, but the amenities felt somewhat lackluster. The air conditioning worked fine, but the breakfast arrangements could've been improved significantly for a better start to the day.

I had a better than expected stay at Antico Panada, thanks to its amazing location right near St. Mark's Square. The character of the hotel added a unique charm to my experience. However, the rooms felt a bit outdated, and the cleanliness, while generally fine, could have improved on details like the remote control. Overall, it was a decent choice if you're looking for a place in the heart of Venice but not without its quirks.

Rooms
6.0
My room was small and included some older furniture, which took away from the charm. While cleanliness was okay, the remote could use a good clean - yikes! The bed wasn't the best for cuddling either since it was basically two singles pushed together.
Service
5.0
The check-in process was kinda chaotic, with slow service that felt a bit automatic. Staff were polite but lacked the personal touch that I’d hope for. I noticed a few guests seemed frustrated during this process.
Location
8.0
The location was fabulous, really close to the main attractions and great restaurants. I loved how easy it was to explore Venice from there, making sightseeing a breeze.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was basic, which was fine to start my day, but it didn't offer much variety. I ended up enjoying it outside after the first day, which was way nicer!
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had a certain old-world charm that I appreciated, but some amenities could use an upgrade, like the air conditioning which didn’t cool the room as well as I’d hoped.
